We took our two Boston Terrier 6 mo. old puppies for a training trip to this hotel and when we arrived valet was super helpful and assisted us with our bag and even asked to pet one of our BT’s. At check in the front desk agent was super friendly and also asked to pet our BT and put us on a higher floor at the end of the corridor away from the center of the hallway traffic near the elevators.

We had an amazing view from our bay view 12th floor room and the puppies enjoyed watching the traffic and sights from the huge window. We even got to see some fireworks from across the bridge in the distance. The room was clean, the bathroom is a great size with a separate walk in shower and tub. I loved the lighted mirror. The bed was clean and bright with crisp white sheets & duvet and very comfortable as well.

At check in they asked if we needed any dog bowls or pet beds. I brought their bed from home and toys and food to give them a bit of home feel, but took advantage of the food bowls. We weren’t hardly in the room when the were delivered. Fast service!

We decided to stay at the hotel for dinner since our car was in valet and parking seemed pretty full on the weekend. So after checking we were advised we could dine with our pets outside of the Aqua restaurant at their outdoor seating area or we could order room service. We choose room service since the puppies weren’t trained yet for dining at a restaurant. I have to say that the room service Aqua Burger (SW Family Farms black angus applewood bacon, aged cheddar, tomato and bib lettuce- $10) was the best burger we have had in a very long time and my sweet potato waffle fries were delicious! I liked that I could have order breakfast for dinner or even choose a healthy option. But, I am glad I decided to skip the calorie counting for the day, because the food was well worth it and once again service was quick and easy and the room service girl was very sweet with the puppies.

The workout room was well equipped and I liked that for 5 dollars they would bring you everything you needed to wear to go work out in including a pair of New Balance shoes with their pack light, stay fit program. Next time Westin, next time !

They also had a indoor small pool that people were swimming in, a Starbucks, outdoor conversation area and a small beach area with some water craft rentals.

Their is a walking park with a nice sidewalk across the street from the hotel were you could walk the pets, but the street was very busy to cross and not very convenient in inclement weather. I would have liked to have a had a better area in the hotel area that you could walk the pets. The area next to the hotel that is undeveloped that you see on GoogleMaps is completely fenced in and their no way to get to it.

The doors to the hotel room are very heavy and I am sure keep a lot of the hallway noise out of the room and we did have a connecting room, but only heard the neighbors while standing next to that particular door and it wasn’t loud at all. The puppies never even noticed that. They did however hear the doors open and closing to the rooms later in the evening, which we had to do immediate non-barking corrections on.

The elevator was pretty quick and the hotel is very well maintained. I will stay here again and would recommend it. We saw two other pets and pet parents during our stay.

The only con I can see is the inconvenience of pet walk area and the fact that your pet better be able to hold it to get down the elevator and outside of the hotel entrance in the morning.

Room Tip: Twelve floor bay view had amazing views!
